The tl;dr is that the iPhone 4s does everything ‘good enough’ given that his iPad is his primary mobile device....
I’ve upgraded my iPhone each year since replacing my months-old white iPhone 4 with the Siri-equipped iPhone 4S back in 2011. There’s always at least one new feature that makes me want to upgrade during the S years like Siri, Touch ID, and Live Photos. The benefit of upgrading from iPhone X to iPhone XS is less obvious unless you really want the new gold color or the larger Max size, but I’m on an annual upgrade plan so I didn’t need much convincing....
In a note last night, Wayne Lam of IHS-iSuppli made the case against Apple going with 1st generation LTE chips in its next iPhone. I think Apple is more concerned with the extra space and battery life the new chips would consume much more than the extra cost of the components.“The first generation of LTE chipsets forced a lot of design compromises with the handset, and some of those we are just not willing to make,” said Peter Oppenheimer, Apple chief financial officer, speaking at the company’s April 2011 earnings call....

When director John Singleton passed away as a result of stroke-related complications on April 28th, 2019, many movie lovers were left sad. Singleton was a man of many achievements. We’ve heard and read a lot about Apple going with two different manufacturers for the A9 chip in its iPhone 6s. Some models ship with a processor made by TSMC while others come with a Samsung-made component.
