Rotten Tomatoes’ scoring system is completely broken, and the Joker movie reviews are the latest proof of that. Unlike other review aggregation platforms, such as Metacritic, Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer is purely measured on the likes and dislikes of film critics, harkening back to the old days of play reviews according to the site. Any movie that is scored higher than 60% receives a fresh rating and anything over 75% is Certified Fresh....

Joker’s Rotten Tomatoes score drops a bit following negative reviews out of the Toronto International Film Festival. A new analyst note from Citi Research today shares the expectation that the iPhone 11 will be the first to include Apple Pencil support. This comes after several years that we’ve heard rumors about the iPhone bringing functionality for the stylus. Last year we saw a couple of reports that the iPhone XS and XS Max would be the first to include Apple Pencil support. Of course, that didn’t happen, but now Citi analysts say they are expecting Apple Pencil functionality to arrive with the iPhone 11 this year (via Business Insider)....

Depressing as it may be to discuss iPhone 12 repair costs before people even get their hands on the shiny new device, Apple has updated its support page to reveal the new costs and fees. There’s a mix of good news and bad … The good news is that screen repair costs are unchanged for the Pro model. This still costs $279 for an out-of-warranty repair, the same as for the iPhone 11 Pro....

Director of research, Paul Carton, notes that prior to the release of the iPhone 3G, his surveys had suggested the device would have a huge impact on the market. It did. Apple’s decline in iPhone sales is unsurprisingly having a knock-on effect on its key suppliers, with the WSJ reporting that Foxconn, Pegatron, Sharp, Japan Display and Sony have all reported falling profits or losses as a result. Suppliers say they expect to see a boost in demand from the new iPhone later this year, but analysts have predicted that Apple’s smartphone business may not return to growth this year, and suppliers don’t see an immediate replacement for the reduced business....

We expected to see refreshed iPod lineups today, and Apple is not disappointing by following up the iPhone 5 announcement with the introduction of a completely refreshed seventh-generation iPod nano.
