Dropping a phone is a nightmare for almost everyone, but have you ever imagined letting your iPhone fall from a plane? That’s exactly what happened to Brazilian documentary filmmaker Ernesto Galiotto, who dropped his iPhone from the sky — and more surprisingly, the phone survived, and its built-in camera recorded everything. As first reported by G1, Galiotto was flying over a beach located in Cabo Frio, Rio de Janeiro, for one of his projects....

Following our clearest look yet at the 4.7 inch phone yesterday, this morning photos of the larger 5.5 inch ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ have purportedly appeared on Weibo. Some sources have described the 5.5 inch model as a separate SKU, an ‘iPhone 7 Pro’ as it were, although whether this will come to pass is unclear. These latest iPhone 7 photos once again show a very similar design to the iPhone 6s Plus … with the interesting addition of a Smart Connector, visible at the bottom of the device on the back side....

So this is the story…. Instead of the normal iJailbreak or Ziphone hacks, the iPhone Dev Team is releasing (update: may be a week late) a full firmware hack that allows you to use itunes to upload and download any software you want to your iPhone (even a full OS?). You could also change the processor speed up to 667 from 400Mhz if you wanted to. In the future, you could also back up your iPhone with all of the hacked apps, settings, videos, songs, etc....

We won’t know how legit it is for another 48 hours but it is certainly convincing. One notable feature of these latest leaks is the Passbook (which they conveniently failed to open) icon which looks to have a Credit card on top.
