We’ve previously reported that the Samsung Gear S2 would be gaining support for iOS later this year, and it looks like that support is coming soon. A member of the XDA-Developers forums has shared a link to a potentially early version of a Samsung Gear S2 specific app that would allows iOS to pair with the device. While the app appears to be in the early stages (indications of the app’s creation dates back to March 2nd), it could potentially show us what the final app will look like....

Guests at two boutique hotels in Manhattan and Cupertino will soon be able to skip the check-in desk and go directly to their room, using an iPhone app to unlock the door. The WSJ reports that the Aloft Hotel will launch the new service this quarter. Other hotel chains are known to be working on the same idea, and Starwood – the group that owns the Aloft Hotels – believes it will quickly become the norm....

The United States International Trade Commission thinks there should be no ban on imports of HTC and Nokia phones over Apple’s patent infringement claims. This is the official position of the ITC staff members who represent the public as a third party in the case, even though “its recommendations aren’t binding,” reports Bloomberg: After administrative law Judge Carl Charneski discloses his decision regarding HTC on August 5 (for Nokia, June 24), the six-member commission will review and act upon it....

John Carpenter is officially returning to compose the scores for Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. David Gordon Green’s Halloween retconned every Halloween sequel to date and instead took place after the original from 1979. Halloween saw massive success at the box office, so a sequel was inevitable. Just last month, Blumhouse announced two Halloween sequels that will be released in 2020 and 2021. After Carpenter produced and co-composed Halloween III: Season of the Witch, he has been very hands-off with the Halloween franchise....

According to multiple people who have either seen or have been briefed on the upcoming iOS 7, the operating system sports a redesigned user-interface that will be attractive to new iOS users, but potentially unsettling for those who are long-accustomed to the platform… The new interface is said to be “very, very flat,” according to one source. Another person said that the interface loses all signs of gloss, shine, and skeuomorphism seen across current and past versions of iOS....

Disney revealed the first footage from its Jungle Cruise movie at D23. The Mouse House scored an unexpectedly huge hit when it turned its Pirates of the Caribbean ride into a live-action film in 2003. The infamous reshoots Justice League was subject to took the film far off-course from what Zack Snyder had originally intended, Snyder having left the film following a family tragedy. Although the two-year anniversary of the movie’s release came over the weekend, the push for the release of Snyder’s original version of Justice League is bigger than it’s ever been....

There were multiple reports claiming that Katherine Langford was cast in an undisclosed role for Avengers: Endgame, but the 13 Reasons Why actress was never spotted in the latest Marvel Studios blockbuster. So what happened to her role? It was reported in October that Langford had joined Avengers: Endgame. Despite being cast late in the process, she reportedly filmed scenes during Endgame’s reshoots, which ended around the same time in October....

In the time since our original post this morning the iPhone 4 repair experts at iFixyouri have chimed in to note that the grill on the white iPhone front plate is a non-OEM version which likely indicates that this isn’t from Apple. Apple removed the grated grill during the white iPhone redesign to help with the proximity sensor issues....
