Since its 2005 debut, the God of War series has thrown Kratos nearly everything he can imagine. It’s been his ride up Mount Olympus, murdering Greek gods, returning from the underworld (a few times), and dealing with an unruly pre-teen who just learned he’s a god in the 2018 remake. As the latest installment in the God of War franchise, Ragnarok manages to add to that impressive list. There is no stopping Kratos and his companions from facing off against each other, which is reminiscent of epic cinematic confrontations such as Avengers: Endgame or Lord of the Rings: Return of the King....

The upcoming remake of cult horror classic Jacob’s Ladder will feature a new plot twist. Bloomberg is reporting that shares of NTT DoCoMo are rising on rumors that Japan’s largest carrier will get the iPhone this year. The company’s rivals, KDDI and Softbank (who just bought Sprint) both currently carry the iPhone and saw their share price drop in morning trading. Apple is also working on China’s largest carrier, China Mobile, which also doesn’t currently carry the iPhone. If Apple can hook one or optimally both of these two monster carriers, it will be able to sell significantly more iPhones in Asia....

Apple Sendai Ichibancho will soon close its doors for the last time, according to a message posted on Apple’s Japanese website. The classic store is Apple’s smallest location in Japan and among the tiniest in the world. The city of Sendai welcomed Apple on December 10, 2005 to a location in the Ichibancho shopping district, an outdoor enclosed arcade with a covered street resembling the Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience. At the time, the store was Apple’s 6th location in Japan....

What is interesting about today’s information is that the new iPhone hardware is denoted as 3,1. Former iPhones were labelled like this: OG iPhone= 1,1 iPhone3G = 1,2 iPhone 3GS= 2,1 iPhone(PA Semi?) = 3,1 The iPhone 3G wasn’t a big upgrade from the original iPhone, hence only the point upgrade in the hardware code number. While it did add a 3G radio and GPS, the processor was still the ARM 11-based Samsung chip that was also used in the original iPod Touches....

Today’s iPhone 4S launch, while bringing a consolidated single phone to three US carriers, also presents some complexities. Some observations: Probably obvious to some: The 14.4 speed increase is only on AT&T where that speed is actually available. Verizon and Sprint will continue to be at their same 3G speeds. They will also continue to have other CDMA limitations like being cut off of data when talking. The cast has officially been set for Netflix’s Millarworld TV show, Jupiter’s Legacy. Based on the Image comic created by Mark Millar and Frank Quietly in 2013, the show will be the first of several adaptations of Millar’s catalog currently in the works at the streaming service. Millar has become one of the most recognizable names in comics.
