A suspect report today from Economic Daily News (translated) predicts that Apple will release an iPhone with three lenses and improved zoom as early as next year. As spotted by MacRumors, the report says that as competition in the smartphone market increases — particularly around cameras — Apple will launch an iPhone with three lenses for the first time during the second half of 2019....

Apple could be preparing to refresh its aging iPod lineup with new colors, according to a new image found inside of yesterday’s iTunes 12.2 update for Apple Music. With the new update, when a user plugs in an iPod for the first time, the above image showcasing a dark blue iPod touch, a gold iPod nano, and a dark pink iPod shuffle appear. None of those iPod color options currently exist, indicating that Apple could be preparing to refresh its line with those richer tones....

John Morrison is returning to WWE after an eight-year absence from the company. Morrison last appeared on Raw, WWE’s flagship show, in November 2011. This was used as a sendoff for Morrison, who had been involved with WWE for close to a decade....

The Joker press tour has been messy, and it’s not doing the movie any favors. It’s a prequel of sorts with little concern for wider DC canon; it’s a violent R-rated drama steeped in realism; and it’s directed by Todd Phillips, a man best known for making The Hangover trilogy....

Warner Bros’ Joker takes down another Venom box office record. Directed by Todd Phillips, the psychological thriller received a wide U.S. release on Oct. 4, and easily won the box office competition with a $93.5 million take, thus beating Venom’s October opening weekend box office record. Joker has now topped Venom’s 2018 October Monday box office record as well. Joker has polarized general moviegoers and critics since the stand-alone film was first announced....

If three important moments in Jurassic World’s short film, Battle at Big Rock, looked familiar, that’s because they already happened in a previous Jurassic Park movie. These scenes appear to be copied from the second installment in the franchise, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Universal’s eight-minute short film, Jurassic World: Battle at Big Rock, takes place one year after the events of the last movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which saw the entire dinosaur population that was left alive set free into the wild....

2017 will bring two new films in the DC Extended Universe - Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman arrives in May ahead of November’s mega team-up Justice League. Both films have a lot at stake as follow-ups to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, especially the latter; along with doing right by the JLA, director Zack Snyder needs to improve upon a polarizing effort that left many critics disappointed. The plot and relentlessly grim tone of Batman v Superman left a bad taste in some people’s mouths, which is why Justice League is expected to have a lighter tone....

Following up after a WWDC session covering the expanding game controller support with new options like the Xbox Elite 2 as well as an all-new Game Center in iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS, Apple has shared today that it will be offering the option to build in keyboard, mouse, and trackpad support for iPad games. Rich mouse and trackpad support came to iPadOS this spring and Apple is going further by bringing mouse, cursor, as well as keyboard support for iPad games....

The iPhone 11 launch saw iOS make market share gains in Europe, Australia, and Japan, but it suffered a fall in share in its home market of the US, according to Kantar. Kantar’s data for Q3 2019 includes only one week’s sales of the new iPhones, but this is enough to move the needle across the markets covered… iPhone market share made gains in all five of the biggest European markets — France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK — with an average increase of two points, from 16....

T-Mobile US’s customer base jumped by 1.1 million in its financial Q2, with the iPhone – offered by the carrier for the first time back in April – accounting for 29 percent of sales. The company had lost over 200,000 customers in the same quarter the previous year. The company’s turnaround is being attributed to a combination of its new approaches to contracts – Uncarrier (whose introduction was not without controversy) and Jump – and the decision to add the iPhone 5 to its handset range....

Earlier this year, Apple agreed to pay out up to $500 million to settle a class action lawsuit in the United States over its decision to throttle iPhone performance when battery health declined. Now, a new website has been set up for affected iPhone owners to be able to submit a claim for payout. As we reported earlier this year, Apple will pay between $310 million and $510 million to settle the lawsuit....
