According to The New York Times, a U.S. federal judge on Wednesday rejected a temporary injunction spurred by television broadcasters, saying a ruling for the broadcasters would have shut down Aereo. Universal’s Jurassic World 3 will see the return of two more stars from previous installments, with Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda signing on. The dino-themed adventure franchise kicked off with 1993’s Jurassic Park, directed by Steven Spielberg and based on the novel of the same name by Michael Crichton. A huge hit critically and commercially, Jurassic Park would go on to spawn a host of less well-received sequels centered on alternate characters from the beloved original....

Zack Snyder is now teasing Superman’s true resurrection in a new image from the Justice League Snyder Cut. Henry Cavill’s Superman is responsible for beginning Snyder’s plans at DC and what is now known as the DC Extended Universe at large. After just one solo film, though, audiences were shocked to see Superman die at the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But, Snyder ended the film with a tease that Superman would return in Justice League....

As we already know, the new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max get improved battery life that offers users more screen time for things like navigation and video playback. Despite that, Apple didn’t say anything technical about battery sizes. Today, new documents from Chinese regulatory agency TENAA reveal the exact specifications of the new iPhone batteries. According to that document, iPhone 11 has a 3,110 mAh battery, against the 2,942 mAh battery on last year’s base model iPhone XR....

New data released by Omdia today says that the iPhone 11 has usurped the crown of being the “world’s most popular smartphone” from the iPhone XR. According to data, Apple shipped 19.5 million iPhone 11 units during the first quarter of this year. For those unfamiliar with Omdia, the research company was established following the “merger of the research division of Informa Tech and the acquired IHS Markit technology research portfolio....

Much like the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series smartphones, the iPhone 14 series also comes with a wireless charging option with Apple’s magnetic wireless charging capabilities. Apple does not provide the magnetic charger right out of the box, but this could be an essential accessory for people who charge their phones wirelessly. It has not been long since Apple launched their iPhone 14 series smartphones in the market, and we are already getting some news about some iPhone 14 smartphones(namely iPhone 14 and iPhone Plus) not charging wirelessly....

iPhone 8 render without front Touch ID Recent conflicting reports suggest Apple has not yet finalized the design of the flagship iPhone 8 this year in terms of how Touch ID will be implemented. If Apple introduces a new edge-to-edge display as expected, Touch ID will have to change from its bottom front location as the chin is dramatically reduced. The best case scenario based on rumors is that Apple manages to implement the fingerprint scanner into the new OLED display, although low yield rates may rule that out this year....

Update: There seems some potential good news ahead. Economic Times reports that the Indian government is considering an exemption to the checks for foreign companies like Apple. iPhone assembly in India has been badly disrupted as tensions with China continue to rise, says a new report. Components arriving from China are said to have been held in Indian customs in what seems to be the latest escalation of the fallout from a disputed border between the two countries…...

There is nothing worse than dropping your iPhone…except maybe dropping it into a lake. That is just an awful feeling. Not shamed by the occasion, 9to5mac reader Ken Hovanes shared his story of when he dropped an iPhone into Smith Lake roughly six months ago. Now Apple is totally removing the price from its iWork and iLife apps and making both suites free for all Mac and iOS users. James Bond producers are reportedly looking for a Scottish actor to replace Daniel Craig as 007 after Bond 25. Based on the spy novels by Ian Fleming, the James Bond movie series has been going strong ever since Dr. No first debuted in 1962. Six different actors have portrayed Bond since the series kicked off, with Daniel Craig taking over the role beginning with 2006’s Casino Royale. Despite talk that Craig would bow out after his fourth go-around as Bond in 2015’s Spectre, the actor has signed on for one more hitch in the as-yet-untitled 25th Bond film, which is going under the working title “Shatterhand....
